Personal websites are having a moment — own your platform

Personal websites are having a moment.

Not nostalgia — something more deliberate. People are tired of building presence on platforms they don't control. LinkedIn throttles your reach. Algorithms decide who sees your work. One policy change and years of effort becomes someone else's problem.

Built mine a few weeks ago for the same reason.
A permanent home for the work. No landlord.

It's also why I build them for other people. A directory listing or a Facebook page is rented space. A site you own is the thing that stays when everything else changes.

The indie web isn't a trend. It's just a better default.
